Making the ‘Secret’ Arcade GamePad

Hidden Arcade GamePad
There’s a lot of work that goes into building my Dingo System. I’ve always wanted an arcade machine coffee table, but the constraints of adult life mean it’s not practical to have an arcade machine in the living room. The answer is to have a machine that looks and functions as a classic, robust, and stylish coffee table… BUT is secretly a super games machine! It took months to work out a design that was practical and was able to hide the entire controls… It’s a game of millimetres and fine angles to fit it all in there. Here’s a sneak preview into a finished the arcade style joystick/button housing. Stoked with the result so far.
2025 UPDATE!! I’ll add my schematic and/or pics on exactly how the drawer is made and functions when I can find them. In the mean time, feel free to get in touch, or comment below, if you’re wanting to make your own and I’ll do my best to help out.
